Read 2 Timothy 2:3-16
By Becky Jordan
Paul urged Timothy to remind the believers not to argue over unimportant details or have foolish discussions. Such arguments are confusing and useless.
“Be diligent to present yourself approved to God a worker who does not need to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.” II Timothy 2:15
What he’s saying is we need to decide whether or not we will live for God, and then live out what we have decided.
Applying the Truth as an Individual
Am I diligently studying, praying and listening to the Lord today?
Applying the Truth as a Church
Is our church living for God, or have we been neglecting Him?
Are we a church that is consistent in serving God with confidence, seeking His approval and sharing His word with others?
If not, let’s start by getting on our knees and seeking the Lord for He is our strength.
