A great big THANK YOU goes to Jay Harvard in using his gift to help us put together a video that casts the vision of what we will be learning as a church over the next few weeks. Also, thanks to those who came out to do the screening with us! You were are all helping us win as a church!! Pastor Keith
This video fires me up! It's amazing how God pulled it all together. I am blessed to have been a part of it. I have a few thoughts on preparing for the Sunday School lessons. I have been praying about this week's lesson. I have began reading it and highlighting things and making notes in the margin of things that stand out to me. I'm then going to make a outline of the lesson (what I plan to teach). The staff have gone above and beyond in their preparation of these lessons! I like to do what I call an "icebreaker" at the beginning of each lesson. It's something to "break the ice" and get the people thinking about the lesson. This week's lesson is: Purpose, Part I. It focuses on vision. I have a vision chart...like the one you read at the eye doctor's office. I am going to have all class members stand at a certain distance and read the chart. I'm going to see what their "vision" is (20/20, 20/40, etc). I'm then going to ask the question: With 20/20 vision, can you still miss God's vision? What's your vision? Then, I'm going to start the lesson. If anyone wants to use this idea, feel free to do so. If anyone has any other ideas for the teachers, please share them. Let's WIN!

ReplyDeleteI agree, I get fired up each time I watch. I have probably only watched it about 50 times. I believe God is going to do great things at PVBC!
