Read Colossians 1:9-14
By Jason Wade
I am my biggest problem. I had a lot of bad habits. They were hard to break. How did I get them? I didn’t just wake up one morning with them. It was a process that developed over time. So, it took time to break them. How did I do it? I have found that the best way is to develop good habits. It takes commitment to doing good things daily. It may be hard and awkward at first, but it will eventually become part of daily life. I found that when I began developing good habits, then bad habits were crowded out of my life.
- Examples of bad habits: laziness, procrastination, not giving my best, making excuses, carelessly spending money
- Examples of good habits: daily Bible study, praying without ceasing, giving sacrificially, giving my best, being punctual
Bad habits are driven by self. Good habits are driven by the Spirit. We must remove the bad habits and replace them with good habits if we want to win.
Applying the Truth as an Individual
Do you have any bad habits you need to break?
Pray and ask God to help you break them and to develop good habits.
Applying the Truth as a Church
